Colon Cleansing is a subject much debated.

On one side of the fence, you’ll find rabid fans nearly religious in their zeal for colon cleanses.

On the other side of the fence, you’ll find people who brush off such cleanses are mere marketing ploys to take your hard earned money for products not much better that eating saw dust.

My take?

More and more, I think some type of cleanse is important to add into your health plan.

No, it doesn’t have to be the Ultimate Colon Blow, or some harsh product to do the trick.

In fact, I am a bigger fan of slower, gentler cleanses that allow your body time to detoxify and rejuvenate.

As you may know about me, I am trained in herbal medicine, Chinese medicine and have a company that formulates health specific nutritional products (Miley Labs).

When you see I am in favor of cleanses, you may accuse me of being biased.

Not so! I indeed have a whole body cleanse (my “Ultra Clease AM/PM” program) and cleanses designed for detoxifying and supporting health liver, colon, kidney, lymphatic and blood functions.

However, that is not why I find them beneficial or recommend them to my patients.

In creating my health-specific nutritional supplements, I wanted to provide my patients and customers with a reliable, quality and affordable approach to detoxifying and cleansing, because I think it is very important to do.

Many products I’ve reviewed on the market are, in my opinion, too harsh–too aggressive.

Detoxifying and purging your body of toxins need not be an overwhelming experience. You can achieve great results gradually, and that’s been my approach and philosophy in formulating my nutritional supplements.

Here’s what I recommend, if you’re interested in cleansing:  find a product that supports your colon health, liver, kidneys, skin, lymphatics and blood.  Our Ultra-Cleanse product is a great place to start, but you’re welcome to shop around. Just make sure it’s a good product, high-quality and reasonably priced.

One to three times per year, schedule your cleanse. If you are doing a 30 day program, make that month your cleansing month, and follow a cleansing diet and gentle exercise routine.

After you’ve completed your cleanse, I’d recommend taking a daily colon support product, one that provides probiotics, pre-biotics, and fiber.

For a quick colon support program, or in conjunction with your cleansing herbs, add 2-3 T. of fresh ground flax to your diet–you’re nearly guaranteed regular bowels and it has promising anti-cancer benefits (due to it’s high lignan levels)–especially important in preventing colon and breast cancer.

This insures good colon care between cleanses, promotes regular bowel movements and will help your health overall.

Try it–you’ll see for yourself.

I’ll write more about Cleansing Diets soon, but wanted you to know that you can start a gentle colon cleanse right away, and reap the benefits of better health within 30 days.

Check out my “30 Days To Better Health” challenge…see if you’re up for it.

Until then, good health!
